So I’m back… from a month of August when I took time for myself… and that has proved to be enlightening, exhilarating, horrid, lonely, overcrowded, exhausting and amazing. To say the least. You might remember I wanted to write. Which I did. Like a mofo. Until I’ve felt blocked. I wanted to chill and play. Which I did. Until I literally blocked my back with the worst case of lumbago I’ve ever had… Not that I had many.
I also met and spent time with some beautiful people, whether old or new friends, sculpted, created some earrings, role-played over 3 days straight – a huge thank you to my son for introducing me to that! -, went to a few concerts and sang my heart out, slept, bought a hammock, heard the best news in a very long time… and the worst.
I loved it.
It does feel like Autumn is coming now though – even if I still swim daily in my local lake.
So I’m back to sending you weekly news and writing these blog posts that are my lifeline to sanity as well as a means to give you lovely people some news…
The new one is about rituals… I’ve been thinking that I want to share more of my "Living a Goddess Life" tips and rituals with you. And definitely, these days, I feel a need to get out of a sneaky type of summer stagnation that I’ve been experiencing… Something around needing to clear the path ahead so I enter Autumn and Winter with a sense of open road… and allow for change to occur and healing transformation to happen...
So I came up with a ritual…
You will find it below…
It is a rather long one, I would allow at least an hour for it. You can also do it in chunks or only do the bits that seem meaningful to you. I wouldn’t change the "order" of the steps though...
When life's journey seems to have plateaued and you're surrounded by stagnant energy, it's time to embark on a transformative road-opening ritual. This ritual serves as a powerful way to shift your energy, remove obstacles, and create a clear path ahead. By incorporating symbolism, cleansing practices, and intention-setting, you'll pave the way for new beginnings and self-discovery. Let's delve into the steps of this potent ritual to open the roads before you.
Step 1: Setting the Space
Begin by creating a sacred space where you'll conduct your ritual. Choose a quiet and comfortable area where you won't be disturbed. You can light candles, burn incense, and play soft music to enhance the atmosphere. Ensure that you're in a relaxed state of mind, ready to open yourself to transformation.
Step 2: Ganesh Symbolism and Energy Invocation
Invoke the energy of Lord Ganesh, the Hindu deity known as the remover of obstacles and the lord of new beginnings. You can place a picture or a statue of Ganesh in your sacred space as a representation of his energy. As you do this, recite a mantra or affirmation that resonates with you, such as "With Ganesh's guidance, all roads are open before me."
Step 3: Auric Field and Chakra Clearing
Stand comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself. Visualize a vibrant white light surrounding your body, forming a protective shield. As you inhale, imagine this light expanding and enveloping your entire auric field. With each exhale, release any negative energy or blocks that you've been carrying.
Next, focus on each chakra individually. Starting from the base of your spine and moving upwards, visualize each chakra as a colored spinning wheel of light. See these energy centers glowing brightly and rotating harmoniously. Any areas of darkness or stagnation are dissolved by the light. (see pictures for the colors!)
You can help yourself with some frequency music that has been written specifically to cleanse your aura or chakras. Find a small playlist I’ve curated for you here:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4N9up2S8OK2Y2GsuLQksof?si=d68dc863b5444e95
Step 4: Cleansing Tools
Utilize various cleansing tools to purify your energy and space. You can use sage or palo santo to smudge your surroundings, allowing the smoke to clear away any stagnant energy. You might also choose to use a singing bowl, a bell, or even a feather to disperse any lingering negativity. Try bringing your bowl or incense stock to every corner of the room, or even of the house.
Step 5: Setting Intentions for Transformation
With a clear space and purified energy, sit down and meditate for a few moments. Reflect on the areas of your life that feel stuck or stagnant. Allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise, acknowledging them without judgment.
Now, set your intentions for transformation. Grab a journal and write down specific goals or changes you want to manifest in your life. Visualize these intentions as already accomplished, feeling the emotions associated with your desired outcomes.
Step 6: Self-Reflection and Responsibility Permission
Recognize that many of the blocks in your life are self-created-good news! It means you can also self-delete them!). Take a moment to reflect on the thought patterns, beliefs, and habits that might be contributing to your stagnation. Accepting responsibility empowers you to release these self-imposed limitations. Next take a big breath and say out loud: I give myself permission to let go of… (fill the gap with your own permission!)
Step 7: Movement and Dance
To infuse your ritual with dynamic energy, engage in movement. Choose music that resonates with you, and allow your body to move freely. As you dance, imagine yourself shedding layers of old energy, breaking free from the chains that have held you back. Let the movement be cathartic, expressing your desire for change. Do it for as long as it feels good.
Step 8: Affirmations of Open Roads
Stand at the center of your space, feeling the energy of the ritual you've created. With confidence and conviction, speak aloud affirmations that resonate with the energy you want to cultivate. For example:
- "The path ahead is clear and filled with opportunities."
- "I am open to new beginnings and positive change."
- "All roads are open before me, and I step forward with courage."
Step 9: Closing and Gratitude
As your ritual concludes, express gratitude for the energy you've invoked, the obstacles you've released, and the transformation you're inviting into your life. Thank Lord Ganesh for his guidance and assistance. Take a few deep breaths, grounding yourself in the present moment.
Step 10: Carry the Energy Forward
Before leaving your sacred space, take a moment to inhale deeply and envision yourself carrying the energy of this ritual with you. Imagine a bright light surrounding you, a constant reminder that you've cleared the path and opened the roads before you. Carry this energy throughout your day, and return to these practices whenever you feel the need to shift stagnant energy.
Conclusion: Paving the Way for Change
The road-opening ritual is a potent tool for transformation, helping you break free from stagnation and embrace new beginnings. By invoking the energy of Lord Ganesh, clearing your auric field, and setting intentions for change, you create a space for positive shifts to occur. Remember that you hold the power to remove self-imposed blocks, and with movement, dance, and cleansing tools, you're paving the way for a new chapter in your journey. As you step forward with confidence and intention, know that all roads are open before you, waiting to lead you to the transformative path you deserve.
I believe that is all for today.
I would be so happy to hear from you.
