London, Baby! The Wholeness of Healing

By IsayaBelle

guidedlife, lifestory, meaning

At its core, healing is about reconnecting with our inner spirit, the very essence of who we are. It's recognizing that we are not merely physical beings but also spiritual beings having a human experience. Healing in this sense means nurturing the spirit, feeding it with love, compassion, and self-acceptance. And that, of course, will impact the body, the mind, the heart, the soul, because we are one.

Healing cannot be restricted to one part of us. Or else it won’t be healing, just a temporary patch of goodness upon a series leaking wounds.

To heal completely we need to heal holistically.

Perfection, the highest degree of anything, means immobility (as perfection, when reached, can’t be topped). And movement being the mere definition of life (scientifical, check it out!), that implies that the only perfect things or beings are… well, dead.

We all are flawed and dancing along the path to growth and self-improvement and enlightenment and perfection… never reaching it, only maybe in human death (I promise I’ll give you news from the after-life and let you know if it rocks!)

Paraphrasing Buddha, I dare to say that healing is a path, not a destination.

So...

We are nothing special.

We are Humans.

We are Embodied Souls.

We are Children of the Universe.

We are Starseeds of the Cosmos.

We are Shards of Light of the One Source.

We are Living a Goddess Life.

And Healing.

When we acknowledge our spiritual selves, we begin to understand that healing is not just about curing ailments; it's about finding purpose and meaning in our lives. It's about releasing the burdens of past wounds, forgiving ourselves and others, and embracing the light within us.

Healing is a transformation of the soul

Our souls are the eternal flames that burn within us, carrying the imprints of our experiences and lessons. Spiritual healing is the process of tending to these deep-seated wounds and scars that linger in the soul's recesses. It's about allowing the transformative power of love and acceptance to wash over us. And heal us. Body and Mind. Heart and Soul.

Healing the soul involves looking inward, exploring who we truly are, and often releasing outdated patterns and beliefs that no longer benefit our higher selves. It requires the courage to face our inner darkness, come to terms with it, and allow our true nature to emerge and radiate like a guiding light.

And OMGoddess have I been doing that lately, invited on this path by a nasty diagnosis of cancer and all the consequences thereof. And sharing that pilgrimage with you lovely people has been a great help in that regard.

Healing is a liberation of the mind

Our minds are powerful instruments that can either be our greatest allies or our harshest critics. Healing in the spiritual sense involves liberating the mind from the chains of doubt, fear, and negativity. It's about cultivating a mindset that embraces positivity, gratitude, and mindfulness.

Through meditation, introspection, and a commitment to self-awareness, we can rewire our thought patterns and redirect our mental energy towards healing and growth. Healing empowers us to free our minds from self-imposed limitations, allowing us to live authentically and without restraint.

And how do we do that, pray Isaya?

Well… I have no clue. My method at the minute is trial and error. I give myself permission to do (or not do) whatever calls, whatever feels good. That’s the self-awareness for you. It’s about listening to myself; which I must acknowledge, I haven’t been doing much for along, long time. And indeed cultivate a positive mindset. And see what works. Rest, reading books, creativity, gratitude, mediation or just cloud gazing, playing games, chatting with friends with a cold juice in hand, you name it. Part of that has been deciding what to do with the extra time given to me before the surgery… And, after waiting long enough for the noise to dissipate, for the dust to settle, I dreamed a dream and made a plan for it. More about that below.

Healing is a nurturing of the heart

Our hearts are the centres of our emotions, the wellsprings of love and compassion. Healing in the spiritual sense extends to the heart, where we learn to mend emotional wounds, cultivate self-love and empathy, and connect with the world around us.

To nurture the heart, we must be willing to open ourselves to vulnerability, to love unconditionally, and to forgive both ourselves and others. Healing the heart is about finding joy and contentment in the simple moments and sharing our love with the world.

So I decided to replenish my heart in 3 simple steps. Going to my happy place (London, Baby!!) with a bestie for fun and musicals, staying home alone to create in vacuum and freedom, and going to Greece for reconnection with my family, another bestie and my one source of happiness, peace and abundance, aka the sea.

That is my plan, supposed to lead me to a serene self, my launching pad to a successful conclusion for this cancer episode and healing odyssey.

Healing is a care of the body

Last but not least, healing encompasses the physical body, the vessel that carries us through life's journey. Healing involves nourishing the body with wholesome food, exercise, and rest. It's about listening to the body's signals, addressing its needs, and treating it with the respect and love it deserves.

Now, as you might have read in my previous posts, I’m already working on the "body" side, having taken various measures and gathered the dream team of helpers, doctors and healers. You will find links to some other posts regarding that part of my healing path listed at the end of this article.

Healing is all that… and more

In the ever-surprising, ever-changing and ever challenging voyage that life is, healing serves as the bridge that connects us to our higher selves, integrating the physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional dimensions of our being. It is a sacred process of reconnecting with our true essence, letting go of the past, and fully embracing the present with open hearts and minds.

So I invite you to embrace the idea that healing is not a destination but rather a continuous process of self-discovery and growth that will partly fail, and to practice healing as a multi-modals, multi-concepts, multi-levels, multi-solutions adventure.

On that needs personalization; in the healing modalities, in the questions you ask yourself, in the people you will gather to walk with you, in the keys you will find to open up those doors.

There is no single ultimate healing modality, whether we talk about ailments or of the self in a wider perspective. As an individual, you can – you must – mix and match techniques based on what resonates with you.

So I invite you to welcome diversity, personalization, and creativity in YOUR holistic healing, making YOUR journey both enriching and enjoyable.

It’s like creating a healing playlist: Think of holistic healing as curating a playlist of your favourite songs. Just as each song evokes different emotions and vibes, each healing modality brings its own unique energy and benefits. You combine and blend techniques like tracks on a playlist, creating a personalized healing soundtrack that resonates with you and uplifts your spirit.

May you find solace and inspiration in your journey toward healing, knowing that you are eternally connected to the Divine inside.

I would be so happy to hear from you about all that. Thank you in advance for your comment.

So much for today …

See you soon, for my next online adventures!

Until then I send you love, light and gratitude.

Isaya

Now…

Maybe you feel like you want to support me as I navigate the Cancer journey?

I am OK and grateful to receive any Reiki, Prayers, Light, Love, Hugs or any other healing modal sent with pure intentions and love.

As far as advice and "recipes" are concerned, please ask me before you download your knowledge, links or recommendations onto me. Overwhelm is always lurking…

On a very practical way, because I’m going to be focusing on my healing, I will have less money coming in…

One way to help and support me is to actually buy something from me!

You can find some of my Goddess Connected programs here:

Please also bear in mind that I am reclaiming my journey and that my solutions and my path are mine and mine only. They are not intended to be a guide or a list of advice, a handbook or manual or any kind, least of all medical. This is just me sharing my journey.

Many of you have been asking for news and updates. This cancer path has been kicking my ass on so many levels, but the main one is the very vocal reminder that I have to be selfish and take care of myself first. Yet I promised I would give a general update and here it is…

The surgery to remove the mass in my kidney has been postponed to September 26th. So I got my summer back. Did I rush to "do" something with it, like go back to work?

Nope. I rushed to keep my plan of slowing down and allow for the brewing of the next phase.

Moreover, I’m having to take some rather strong drugs for the TB so I’m rather tired… So this August, I have a plan of sound baths, boardgames, crafting, resting, reading books, writing, welcoming friends and family and using my hammock to the best of my abilities… I will write some posts for you, but they might be shorter … and the podcast episodes might be recorded rather than live.

As for September.. Have a look in the post above if you’ve missed it to uncover my joyful preparation plan for surgery.
