Living a Goddess Life, Undeterred is my Soul mission, my purpose and my business plan. As some of you know already, 2024 has been, up to now, both one of the most rewarding years so far, and one of the most challenging…
I’ve got cancer.
And I’m sharing my healing journey on this blog and everywhere.

I chose Healing. As an action plan. As a lifestyle. As a path to reclaim my peace, rebuild my strength, and rediscover the power within me.
Now who is that "healed" Isaya, how do I go about and meet her and what does she need to be happy (ulterior plan for me, as for everyone, right?)… To the first question I’m still looking deep inside to find answers… I’ll keep you posted about that!

As for the second question, I searched for clues on Google about happiness… and I asked ChatGPT— cause hey, if AI is going to rule the world, we might as well ask the big questions: What does one need to be happy?

Here’s what AI collected for me and my thoughts on these "requirements" for happiness.

"Of course, happiness is personal and varies for each individual, but these elements often contribute to a sense of well-being and contentment", the machine began.

But you know what… I believe the machine is quite right at this minute. So. Let’s discuss these points regarding my current situation… (AI's comments are in italics)

  • Self-Acceptance: Embracing who you are, with all your strengths and flaws.
I’m working on it, as you know! Read my other articles to join me on that path.
  • Meaningful Relationships: Deep connections with family, friends, and loved ones.
Indeed I believe Connection is one of the fundamentals. I will get back to that one below.
  • Purpose and Fulfilment: Engaging in activities that give life meaning, whether through work, hobbies, or helping others.
OK, that is a big one. To feel happy I agree that seeing the meaning of life, striving to define what it is for me definitely constitutes a path to happiness.
  • Health and Well-being: Physical, mental, and emotional health are foundational to happiness.
Well, that is what my healing journey is all about.
  • Gratitude: Appreciating what you have, rather than focusing on what you lack.
Back to basics, indeed, as gratitude is the one key, to my opinion, to happiness and peace.
  • Financial Stability: Enough to meet your basic needs and feel secure, but not necessarily wealth.
OK, so wealth is not the be-all and end-all of happiness. Good, cause at this minute, that is not my focus, tbh. And I’m seriously working on my feeling of safety not to rely solely on my wealth (or the absence thereof!)
  • Autonomy: The freedom to make choices and live according to your values.
Hell to the yes! Been doing that and taking responsibility for my choices for decades. It does bring a feeling of peace indeed.
  • Positive Outlook: Cultivating optimism and focusing on the good in life.
Well, being the Queen of Positivity and the Goddess of Optimism, this one couldn’t be any more accurate.
  • Personal Growth: Continuously learning, evolving, and setting goals for self-improvement.
This one made me smile. Because yes, the only thing that separates us from a tree is that, if we are unhappy here… we can move!! We can evolve, learn, grow and change… and get there! This is one the lessons I teach repeatedly.
  • Balance: Maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and finding time for rest, play, and reflection.
Ha!! That might well be one where I struggle the most. To understand what is really work, what is play and what is rest might well be the one place I need to grow the most. I’m working on it, I promise (pun intended!)

So to expand on my thoughts about that balance idea… I came up with a small list of ideas… they will seem simple (even simplistic) and yet… I believe if I can implement them day in day out, I will come closer to that harmony I’m seeking, to that happiness that sometimes eludes me, that I sometimes believe to be "circumstantial" (as in, when this happens… then I’ll be happy).

So… (and by the way, this is all me, no AI here!)

  1. Keep Calm: don’t allow for external triggers to dismantle my carefully constructed peace of mind.
  2. Relax: Literally. Relax my muscles, my jaw, my thoughts also… Choose relaxing thoughts.
  3. Slow Down: It’s OK not to be rushing though life all the time. Sometimes, boredom and slow motion will be the happiness triggers.
  4. Take it Easy: NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DIFFICULT OR COMPLEX. (I put this in capital letters because I keep forgetting!!)
  5. Enjoy Life: Find the things that I enjoy doing, the places where I enjoy dwelling… and do that, go there.
  6. Have Fun: Yes, however. Play, Sing, Laugh, Eat well, Paint with my fingers, and the like.
  7. Smile: Yep. For no reason!
  8. Be Positive: voilà. Again, for no reasonable reason.
  9. Breathe: as previously discussed here: https://isayabelle.com/and-breathe-isaya-breathe
  10. Unplug: I recently realized that my love of technology is also a trap I set for myself. Because I love it "out there" too and I need to remember that, when I’m not connected, I just as happy, with people or without, simply disconnected from the digital tribes… I can hear my thoughts and feel my feelings so much better when I unplug from time to time.
  11. Go Outside: I’m not even discussing that one. Humans are made to be outside in nature. When we don’t go out enough, our soul misses it. Point blank.
  12. Meditate: Which is another word for Be Still and Listen. I’ve talked about that numerous times. You can read more here for instance: https://isayabelle.com/stop-and-heal-the-threshold-of-the-desert
  13. Be Creative: I believe we are all creative. All the time. And when we "forget" to be… we bleed inside and our Souls die a little. So yes. I create everyday.

Now. All these simple ideas. Do I practice them? Daily?
Yes.
Not perfectly. Not absolutely. Not flawlessly.
But consistently.
As much as I can until they become second nature.
They help me get in harmony with myself, my community, my planet.
And I walk towards more and more happiness. Because there is no limit to the happiness I can experience. And that is Living a Goddess Life. Undeterred.

Please, if you feel like trying, do not dismiss these as simplistic, naive or decide you will implement "when…"
As I constantly repeat:
Start now. Start small. Keep going.
And please let me know what happens.
Because something will! I guarantee it!
You will begin Living a Goddess Life, whatever that means to YOU!

I would be so happy to hear from you about all that. Thank you in advance for your comment.
So much for today …
See you soon, for my next online adventures!
Until then I send you love, light and gratitude.
Isaya

Now…

Maybe you feel like you want to support me as I navigate the Cancer journey?
I am OK and grateful to receive any Reiki, Prayers, Light, Love, Hugs or any other healing modal sent with pure intentions and love.
As far as advice and "recipes" are concerned, please ask me before you download your knowledge, links or recommendations onto me. Overwhelm is always lurking…

On a very practical way, because I’m going to be focusing on my healing, I will have less money coming in…
One way to help and support me is to actually buy something from me!
You can find some of my Goddess Connected programs here:

or here: https://isayabelle.com/tech-goddess-academy-2

Please also bear in mind that I am reclaiming my journey and that my solutions and my path are mine and mine only. They are not intended to be a guide or a list of advice, a handbook or manual or any kind, least of all medical. This is just me sharing my journey.

Many of you have been asking for news and updates. This cancer path has been kicking my ass on so many levels, but the main one is the very vocal reminder that I have to be selfish and take care of myself first. Yet I promised I would give a general update and here it is…
The surgery to remove the mass in my kidney has been postponed to September 26th. So I got my summer back. Did I rush to "do" something with it, like go back to work?
Nope. I rushed to keep my plan of slowing down and allow for the brewing of the next phase.
Moreover, I’m having to take some rather strong drugs for the TB so I’m rather tired… So this August, I have a plan of sound baths, boardgames, crafting, resting, reading books, writing, welcoming friends and family and using my hammock to the best of my abilities… I will write some posts for you, but they might be shorter … and the podcast episodes might be recorded rather than live.
As for September.. I’ll keep you posted… but I do have a plan to get me to surgery in joy and serenity… More on that next week!

  • Loved reading this blog dear Isaya All you write reminds me of what is importance and the balance that is needed 🩵🤩the seemingly simple things and yet .. so significant 🧚🏽🦋💖🌸💕✨
