Yesterday was a special day…. I spent most of my day on Zoom, talking to women, listening to women, interacting with women from all over the world, from France, the UK, the US, Greece, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Australia… you name it.
Yes, I do have many international connections. I am a Travelling Priestess after all and a daughter of the wind. I saw more than 100 women yesterday online, and talked to more than 30 of them. Yep, I was tired after that and went straight to bed!
Why am I sharing this? Because the energy that emanated from most of those women was low, sad, anxious, fearful and worse. They all seemed affected by the "state of the world today."
Don’t get me wrong, some of them were also happy and hopeful and active, but the global energy was muffled and heavy. These women were not clients coming to me for coaching or assistance of any sort, there are friends, colleagues, or peers. And they mostly felt bad.
"The current state of affairs" influences them, touches them and impacts them severely.
And I get it, of course. I do not live on a remote happy Mickey Mouse island. I do not live like one of the three monkeys pretending to not hear, see or talk about the "situation."
It’s true I seldom talk publicly about politics, or the news or the world circumstances. It doesn’t mean I don’t care, of course. Nobody (particularly female!) can choose to "not care" today or pretend they don’t know or it doesn’t concern them.
But there are a few very good reasons for my public silence.
So let me explain.

1. Watching the news is an addiction.
That is my fundamental belief. News networks have a financial interest in keeping us hooked to our TVs and radios. They make money out of it. Thus they create news reports in a way that is inviting the public to fixate and crave more. More gory images, more suspenseful stories, more shockingstatements and announcements.
What am I talking about? Doom-scrolling, consuming news as we would junk food, that we know is bad for us but make us feel better in the instant with the idea that we are somehow changing the situation by staying informed, when most of the time, we do strictly nothing … Which keeps us in a "failure vibration" and makes us feel even worse.
Just like Anita Chaudhuri writes in How I beat overwhelm: I kicked my news addiction – and discovered ways to make a proper difference:
That was the real problem with my news habit: it was giving me the illusion of doing something.
As clearly stated in Addicted to News: How to Prevent Overload, News Addiction is now categorized as a disorder. Again, a very profitable disorder...
Otherwise referred to as “headline stress disorder” in a Northwestern University Medical School article, news addiction refers to the inability to stop watching the news or receive new information about current events.

2.Have you heard of egregores?
An egregore is a concept in Western esotericism of a non-physical entity or thoughtform that arises from the collective thoughts and emotions of a distinct group of individuals.
From Wikipedia
So like a "cloud" of ideas and beliefs that lingers over our heads, and that is nourished by our unconscious emotions and thoughts.
An example? Over Nazi Germany in the 1930s, there must have been a colossal fascist egregore. Over San Francisco on 1968, a huge "flower power" egregore.
Do you get it? An egregore is nourished by us, unconsciously… or consciously. Then, once formed, it weighs upon everything below it and impacts us in return, in good or bad ways…
So, if we choose to nourish the collective egregore of love, peace, optimism, sisterhood and brotherhood of humans, respect and love for the Earth and all living being… We ARE indeed "doing something" to fight the "current situation."
But if we choose to doom-scroll and bask in the horrors, the fear, the doubt and the low vibrations… We nourish that egregore. Weare making things worse.
That is why I do not indulge myself. I keep myself informed at a minimum rate of exposure. I donate and sign petitions and will march for what I believe in or against what horrifies me, as well as vote whenever I’m asked to give my opinion. In reallife.
I am very careful though to not get overwhelmed and dragged down energetically. More about that later.
I seldom discuss these topics online though.
I stay in my lane of optimism and Living a Goddess Life.

3. How do I do that? And why?
We’ve seen the why. I choose to nourish the positive egregore. That is what will defeat the negativity, that is how we will ascend to higher vibrations as a planet. And please hear that this is a CHOICE, not the result of a lucky predisposition or a coincidence. In my sovereignty, I choose, at every moment of my life, who I am and what I create in the world, what reality I co-create with the Universe. I am not a victim of circumstances. I am the Creatrix of my world. It is a supreme power AND a responsibility.
I am responsible for my vibration that participates in the collective co-creation of the world. This is my ONE job: take care of my vibration .For me. For you. For the world. I take this responsibility very seriously.
I remember I am a multidimensional being. I know I can always pick and choose the environment I live in, the energy I surround myself with.

Now… How do I choose the positive when there is so much negativity around?
Easily. I stay close to what lifts me up, to what makes my heart sing.
So… creativity, art-making, writing, nature, good food, singing, sharing with good friends, experiencing the world through my five senses, reading good books, walking the earth, travelling, Qi Gong, Meditation … and gratitude. I have discussed this previously, so I won’t go into details… but gratitude is THE game changer!
So I find things every day, every hour that make me feel grateful… and that lifts my vibration at once! I even have a list in my planner of things that I know will shift my attitude to gratitude for the days when I don’t remember or it feels harder (Hey, I’m human, don’t shoot!).

4. Anyway, the " current state of the world" doesn’t matter.
"Sorry, what? Isaya, what the Hell? Of course it matters."
OK, yes, I was just being provocative? It does. But not that much.
What matters more is the state of the world we desire to live in. The one we dream about, theone we intend to create.
The more time we can spend in that world, the faster we are making it happen (see above, the egregore theory). And let me repeat myself, if I wasn’t clear enough: an egregore, once formed, weighs upon everything below it and impacts us in return, either positively or negatively.
That is my greater purpose in Living a Goddess Life: to participate in the creation of the biggest, most glittery, optimistic, multicoloured, positive, ecstatic, sensual, over-the-top cheerful egregore. Because if there is no greater purpose, it's not a world I want to live in.
Of course the side effect is that I actually live under that blissful egregore myself, today. And it’s spectacular, to say the least! The number of miracles that have happened to me, for me, or that I’ve witnessed is awe-inspiring.
Try Living a Goddess Life... and let me know!

Voilà.
I believe that is all for today.
I would be so happy to hear from you.
